The most recent version of Aethora has been tested and known to work well in:

  • Firefox [1] (versions 3.0 and 3.5 have been tested; earlier versions should work fine)
  • Internet Explorer (versions 7 and 8 only; IE 6 is no longer supported)
  • Google Chrome [2]
  • Opera [3] (9 has been tested, should work fine in other versions)
  • Safari (3 and 4 have been tested)

If you are looking for a recommendation, we like Firefox. However, Aethora will perform well in all modern browsers. Be aware that the game uses a lot of javascript, and performance will be smoother with the latest versions of certain browsers (e.g. Firefox 3.5 has a greatly improved javascript engine over 3.0, and IE 8 has an improved js engine over IE 7).
